JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Accounting Operations & Treasury is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, integration, and optimization of key accounting, treasury, and risk management functions. This role serves as the primary operational leader for these teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, scalability, and strong internal controls.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

Leadership & Oversight

• Provide direct leadership and performance management to managers and senior individual contributors across accounting operations, treasury/banking, lease administration, and corporate insurance and risk management.
• Align team objectives with broader accounting and treasury strategy.
• Develop bench strength, succession planning, and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Oversee cash accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls across all locations.
• Ensure lease administration activities comply with accounting standards and support accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with Accounting and FP&A on operational impacts to financial close, reporting, and forecasting.

Treasury & Banking

• Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash positioning, banking relationships, transaction execution, and merchant processing operations.
• Ensure compliance with treasury policies, internal controls, and liquidity management practices.
• Support cash forecasting and working capital optimization initiatives.

Risk Management & Insurance

• Oversee corporate insurance programs, renewals, claims management, and broker relationships.
• Ensure appropriate coverage aligned with company risk profile and business operations.
• Partner with Legal and Operations on risk mitigation strategies.

Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance automation, and improve scalability across all functions.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and fraud mitigation efforts.
• Serve as a partner to external auditors.

Strategic Support

• Function as a trusted advisor to the Controller, translating strategy into execution across teams.
• Lead or support special projects, integrations, or system implementations as needed.
• Represent accounting operations and treasury in cross-functional initiatives.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, treasury, or financial operations
• Proven experience leading managers and complex operational teams
• Strong understanding of internal controls, audit, and compliance
• Experience in multi-unit, retail, or asset-intensive environments preferred.
• CPA or similar credential a plus
