THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE IN MINNEAPOLIS, MADISON, OR MILWAUKEE.
As a Regional Asset Protection Manager (RAPM), you’ll play a critical role in identifying, investigating, and resolving incidents of theft, fraud, and compliance gaps across your assigned region. This position is a blend of strategic leadership and investigative execution. We’re looking for someone who knows how to build strong partnerships with field teams, is confident conducting interviews, and brings an analytical, problem-solving mindset to every case. This isn’t a desk job - you’ll be in the field, partnering with leaders and making an impact.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The RAPM reports to the Sr Regional Asset Protection Manager and serves as a trusted partner to Regional Sales Directors and Field Leadership. You’ll lead investigations, identify trends, improve compliance, and support store teams in driving a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigative Excellence: Lead internal and external theft/fraud investigations, conducting professional interviews. Document findings thoroughly and work with HR and Legal to support case resolution.
- Strategic Partnership: Build strong working relationships with field leadership to support operational goals, improve store compliance, and reduce overall risk.
- Field Presence: Spend time in stores to identify trends, support teams, conduct audits, and observe operations in real-time.
- Data-Driven Focus: Use data and reporting tools to identify high-risk activity and guide investigative priorities and resource allocation.
- Training and Communication: Coach store leaders on loss prevention fundamentals, policy adherence, and how to recognize and respond to suspicious activity.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Help evolve our AP program by bringing forward new ideas, tools, or processes that enhance efficiency and results.
- Collaboration and Special Projects: Partner cross-functionally and take on special projects that improve company-wide risk mitigation efforts.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced retail and knows how to get results through influence, data, and real-time action.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of leadership experience in retail asset protection or loss prevention across multiple locations.
- Proven experience leading investigations and conducting interviews with a high-resolution rate.
- Strong understanding of retail operations, fraud trends, and compliance issues.
- Proficient in analyzing data and using case management systems.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field preferred.
- Certifications like CFI or CFE a plus.
TRAVEL & AVAILABILITY
- Up to 75% domestic travel within your assigned region.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to support a 24/7 retail operation.
