Job Overview:


The Event Sales Manager provides day-to-day operational oversight and leadership for Verizon’s promotional events. Through a strong customer focus, you will establish a loyal customer base and serve as a brand ambassador in the community. This role will be responsible for developing and executing events that support Verizon’s brand, business, and communication objectives. You will develop relationships with local organizations and businesses to drive event success and store traffic. You will also manage a team to ensure event operations run smoothly and effectively.


A Day in the Life:


On a typical day, you will be responsible for identifying, securing, and managing events where Verizon can be promoted. You will interact with event organizers, negotiate terms, and ensure a strong presence for Verizon at various venues. Your tasks will include setting up booths, coordinating promotional materials, and engaging with potential customers to showcase Verizon products and services. Additionally, you will oversee a team, provide guidance, feedback, and ensure all team members are aligned with event goals.


Compensation:


Base Pay: $66,560.00 Pay rates include base pay at the above rate with the opportunity to earn a monthly Event Sales Manager bonus.


Event Sales Manager Responsibilities:


Event Management:

  • Identify and secure events where Verizon can be promoted.
  • Manage and execute promotional events from concept to post-event.
  • Establish event metrics, measure, and deliver results.
  • Ensure events align with broader program strategy and objectives.


Social Media:

  • Provides social media planning and recommendations with Victra’s social media team to plan and recommend social media strategies for the Events Team, leveraging local research and expertise.
  • Engage with local influencers, bloggers, and businesses to enhance Victra's visibility, credibility, and brand presence. Regularly update and maintain branded content on social media platforms (such as Facebook, TikTok, X, etc.) to ensure it remains current and relevant.
  • Serve as a brand steward, ensuring consistent representation of Victra's visual and messaging standards.


Customer Engagement:

  • Engage with potential customers at events to promote Verizon products and services.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience through an exciting and energized atmosphere.
  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients, event attendees, and partners.
  • Promote upcoming events, products, or services during calls.
  • Answer questions and provide detailed information about events to prospective attendees.
  • Schedule appointments and follow-up calls as necessary.


Logistics Planning:


  • Coordinate logistics for event participation, including setup and teardown.
  • Maintain a professional and appealing booth/presentation area.


Relationship Building:

  • Build and maintain relationships with event organizers and venue managers.
  • Develop relationships with local organizations and businesses to drive event success.


Sales and Reporting:


  • Track and report on event performance and sales metrics.
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve future event participation and sales strategies.


Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of event sales consultants.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members.
  • Schedule team members to ensure appropriate coverage for events.
  • Motivate and lead the team to meet or exceed sales targets and individual income goals.


Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to optimize promotional strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure program alignment and success.


Job Requirements:


* High School diploma; AA preferred.

* 3-5 years of experience in a sales or promotional role, with at least 2 years in a leadership/supervisory position.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Proven ability to meet sales targets and engage with diverse audiences.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.


Physical Requirements:


* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

* Ability to stand for extended periods during events.


Training Requirements:


* All Event Sales Managers are required to attend and successfully complete a training program within 2 weeks of their official start date.

* Various online and computer-based training will be required throughout employment with Victra.


Additional Information:

* This position is full-time and non-exempt.
