As a Manager, Financial Reporting, you will work harmoniously as part of a team of strong accounting and finance professionals to participate in preparing financial reports, drive continual process improvement, and participate in the monthly close process to create accurate and timely financial records.
YOUR FOCUS (JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
Along with having the aptitude for numbers and the quantitative skills needed to be a successful Manager, Financial Reporting, you are a very thorough person with intellectual curiosity and the highest level of integrity.
As a Manager, Financial Reporting, you will:
- Responsible for preparing financial reports, external and internal
- Includes quarterly financial statements for bondholders, monthly financial package for ABL lenders
- Work with auditors on the above reporting as needed (primarily annual financial statements)
- Manage accounting for assigned areas, review results during and after monthly close, support Assistant Controller on special projects
- Coordinate data requests and analysis for internal and external auditors
- Develop and manage strong, collaborative relationships with peers and finance and business partners across the organization to understand the business and apply that knowledge to financial reporting
- Responsible for managing intercompany accounting, data integration for acquisitions
- Ad-hoc analysis of more complex balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Respond to inquiries from Operations and Senior Management team regarding financial results and special reporting requirements
- Assist with PBC packages during financial and operational audits
- Lead / participate in special projects as assigned (e.g. system implementation, adoption of a new GAAP standard, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
YOUR BACKGROUND (Requirements):
You bring considerable initiative, latitude, and independent judgment. You also have strong listening skills and the ability to interact across all levels and functions within an organization. We are looking for the Accounting Manager to also bring analytical thinking, leadership ability, and collaborative skills to deliver solutions. You will also have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3-7 years experience, including meaningful public accounting experience
- Experience with ERP applications, reporting systems (e.g. Oracle EPM), and Microsoft Office suite
- Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, written and oral
- Ethical conduct and ability to maintain extreme confidentiality
- CPA highly preferred
- Proficient in US GAAP and current practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
