Instructional Design and Coordination Manager

In this role, you will work closely with internal and external teams to apply learning strategies within a high-volume retail environment.
YOUR FOCUS (Job Duties and Responsibilities):
You understand that developing creative content while keeping brand consistency for all training initiatives will keep employees engaged and motivated to learn. You will also:
- Serve as a project lead on all new training course developments, working with stakeholders and the instructional design team to ensure deadlines are communicated, prioritized, and met.
- Develop and execute a training curriculum strategy to prepare employees and stakeholders with the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully execute their job responsibilities.
- Oversee the design and standardization of training content and course objectives for various instructional formats, including e-learning, compliance, and ILT-field training.
- Assess and advise management on the effectiveness of trainings
- Work cross-functionally with other departments on training-related opportunities
- Develop and adapt training content to the target of training initiatives that may range from a single store training to larger formats such as summits, conferences, management training, etc.
- Actively participate in ongoing feedback loops and innovate/implement changes as needed.
- Oversee and support all training coordination processes including class communications and logistics, reporting, LMS oversight, offshore training support, etc.
- Contribute to new training program design and existing program enhancements
- Other job-related duties as assigned
YOUR BACKGROUND (REQUIREMENTS):
We look for the Manager of Instructional Design & Coordination to have strong knowledge of how to create world-class, tier-one content. We look for you to bring instructional design expertise in the areas of needs assessment, content design and development, and evaluation. We also look for the Manager of Instructional Design & Coordination to bring:
- Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, or relevant field. Master's degree is desirable. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
- 3-4 years of work experience as a in training and facilitation, retail/hospitality background highly desirable
- LMS Management experience required
- Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
- Knowledge of best-practice development and authoring tools, up-to-date understanding of learning management system and web-delivery tools
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job, or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.)
- Thorough understanding of adult learning principles, training standards, methodology and tools
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Travel various up to 30%
