Victra is Verizon's trusted business partner and largest retailer in the United States. We are seeking a Human Resources Manager for our alternative channels of business, who will be accountable for facilitating positive employee relations and solving human resources issues with a focus on performance management in a rapidly changing company with a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will champion the Victra culture while using your HR knowledge and expertise to influence change in the organization. As an HR Manager, you will also: Partner directly with people leaders to develop and maintain positive employee relations in your assigned area.

  • Drive participation, timely execution, and completion of various performance and talent management programs.
  • Coordinate people leader training to deliver ongoing education that empowers leaders to confidently engage in performance management and coaching effectively.
  • Assist with high-risk employee relations investigations by conducting thorough fact-finding interviews with reporters and witnesses.
  • ·Coach leaders and their teams on how to effectively connect business strategy to people strategy.
  • ·Build leader capability and reinforce accountability in the areas of talent, leadership and culture.
  • ·Display end-to-end systems thinking and ability to navigate complex situations while providing leadership and risk-mitigating recommendations
  • ·Develop business acumen to understand key drivers of business performance and support delivering results.
  • ·Drive innovation in HR functions and processes
  • ·Provide data-driven insights for decision making and strategic workforce planning; recommend revision or creation of new strategies
  • ·Exercise pragmatic problem solving skills using a consistent approach to HR recommendations based considering both policy and best practice.
  • ·Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • ·Counsel and resolve employee relations issues, including manager/employee situations, employee engagement, policies and procedures, terminations and reorganizations.
  • ·Handle extremely confidential and time sensitive information while navigating through escalated human resources issues. Evaluate internal promotions and re-hire requests.
  • Manage human resource initiatives and special projects as well as research and recommend new ideas.
  • All other duties as assigned. 


COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ years of total HR experience
  • Ability to work business hours of assigned area including some evening and weekend support on an as-needed basis due to support of retail store operations
  • Experience with employment laws for assigned area preferred
  • Outstanding listening and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility to re-prioritize and adapt quickly
  • A high-level of proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills required
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative but also self-motivated, ability to work well autonomously, outgoing and focused on providing excellent customer service to our internal customers
  • Sound judgement with regards to when to escalate an issue to HR Leadership
  • Desire to have fun while being the best and to bring energy and enthusiasm to work every day


Salary Range: $64,582 - $84,927
