As a Victra Accounting Manager, you will own accounting processes around our various lines of business and manage the monthly and annual close process for those lines of business to meet tight reporting deadlines.
YOUR FOCUS (JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
You will be a business partner for operational leadership within the organization while helping establish and maintain a cross-functional accounting and close process that aligns with the goals of the organization. You are an engaging leader with intellectual curiosity, exceptional communication skills, and a customer service mindset. As a Victra Accounting Manager, you will:
* Manage accounting functions for assigned lines of business, which may include ledger maintenance, system integrations, gross profit, corporate SG&A, allocations, as well as associated analysis and reporting
* Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operations teams to develop and maintain high-integrity processes for accounting and reporting
* Review, analysis, and optimization of account reconciliations
* Ad-hoc analysis of more complex balance sheet and income statement accounts
* Maintain the system of internal controls to adequately safeguard company assets and ensure the accurate presentation of financial statements; make recommendations for and drive improvement
* Respond to inquiries from Operations and Senior Management team regarding financial results and special reporting requirements
* Assist with PBC packages during financial and operational audits
* Lead / participate in special projects as assigned (e.g., business unit setup, integration of a new software into an existing process, adoption of a new GAAP standard, etc.)
* Contribute to establishing and maintaining a team spirit
* Other duties as assigned by leadership
YOUR BACKGROUND (Requirements):
You are a self-starter motivated by success and bring considerable initiative, latitude, and independent judgment. You also have strong listening skills and the ability to interact across all levels and functions within an organization. You have excellent planning and organization skills with the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for the Accounting Manager to also bring the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
* At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience combined with 1-3 years of supervisory experience. Multi-location or retail experience preferred. Public/industry combination experience highly preferred
* Ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality
* CPA highly preferred
* Proficient in US GAAP and current practices
* Demonstrated advanced skills with Microsoft Office and other accounting software
* Experience with Oracle ERP preferred

* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
* Ability to sit for long periods of time
