You are honed in on forecasting and incorporating business intelligence into identifying trends within the market. You understand that strong communication across all levels is imperative to making recommendations that impact all levels of business. Victra is Verizon's largest retail partner. As the Accessory Demand Planner, you will demonstrate the ability to continuously improve our inventory and supply chain function for our nationwide network of stores.

 

YOUR FOCUS (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

We look for the Accessory Demand Planner to create and maintain forecast models that incorporate business intelligence and information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer data, and others sources. While working within a diverse workforce, you will display a high proficiency in statistics and forecasting methods with an understanding of how they will affect our stores both financially and operationally. You will also:

  • Work closely with our distribution partners and brands to analyze demand changes in the business to ensure high accuracy of forecast and to ensure accuracy in inventory level (days/weeks on hand), particularly from the point of view of long/medium term
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, communicate, and execute new product launches.
  • Design and generate weekly/monthly forecasting models
  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis in partnership with Data Analytics and FP&A functions, ensure that processes and methods followed are based on the standard methodologies (continuous improvement of forecasting techniques, methods and approaches)
  • Measure the forecast accuracy
  • Control inventory targets approved by management to generate the highest level of in stocks while supporting sales and reducing aging inventory levels
  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to create sales forecast in accordance with different layers of analysis: historical sales, market trends, seasonality, advertisements and promotions
  • Make recommendation of inventory targets adjustments based on changes in demand and market trends
  • Manage item life-cycle based on market trends and device life-cycle
  • Review sales forecasts and inventory coverage (emphasis on brand transitions, new product introduction, event, phase in and phase out items)
  • Evolve and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems
  • Prepare reports and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to our distribution partner and brands (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets)
  • Develop systems and procedures required to meet service level and inventory objectives

 YOUR BACKGROUND (REQUIREMENTS):

Accuracy, attention to detail, and an analytical mind all seem to describe you. You are versed in demand management/forecasting, forecasting processes in sales, marketing, operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues. We are looking for the Accessory Demand Planner to also bring the following:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 3 Years of experience in a role doing inventory scheduling, forecasting and planning
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and familiarity with RQ4 preferred
  • Good communication and team building skills
  • Highly organized with managing projects/initiatives as well as collecting and compiling data from multiple sources
  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical skills
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics
  • Collaborative skills in resolving long and short positions in inventory

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
